Where is the oil filter housing located on a 1994 BMW 740iL?

It is at the left side of the engine near the front. Housing is aluminum but cover is black plastic.


You access it from the top of the engine not from the bottom.Where is the oil filter housing located on a 1994 BMW 740iL?
idk but i have a 1986 5-series ive worked on a lot and the oil filter is at the bottom behind the fan to radiator. if i was laying under the car its not hard to miss , medium silver looks like a can. one more thing i had trouble with, the bolt is on top of it not the usual bottom.
