How do I locate the oil filter on my chevy impala?It's a 1979.?

Look under the vehicle just behind the drivers side front wheel, in between where the wheel and the door is. The oil filter is located on the drivers side where the engine and transmission meet. It's on the opposite side of where the starter is. The battery and the starter is on the same side of the car, the passenger side. the filter is located on the drivers side rear of the engine block.
it's located on the drivers side at the back of the motor...most likely it's orange and screws in to the block there. It is opposite of the starter..which is on the passenger side. If you need to ask this...I suggest you take it to the garage to have your oil changed.
i own a repair shop,all you have to do is look under it,you,ll see it it mounts up on the side of the engine,on a v-8 Chevy their easy to spot ,i think its on the passengers side of it towards the back,,good luck,i hope this help,s.
The oil filter on a Chevy V8 is located on the drivers side of the engine in the back and hangs down from the bottom almost equal to the height of the oil pan lip. possibly obscured by the exhaust manifold, it should be easily visible from underneath.
