Change my oil and the oil filter i put in is no good?

do i have to drain the oil that i already put in back out then change the filter. then put the oil back in.. or can i just take the filter off without without taking all the oil back out, without lossing all my oil, except for what in the filter alreadyChange my oil and the oil filter i put in is no good?
You can take off the filter %26amp; let it sit for a year %26amp; you WON'T LOSE ANY MORE OIL THAN WHAT THE FILTER HOLDS %26amp; COMES OUT IN THE FIRST COUPLE MINUTES!!!

Just change the filter, no hurry %26amp; no more waste than the 1/2qt the filter holds.

After you change the filter, run the engine to check for leaks then top off the oil as the dipstick indicates!Change my oil and the oil filter i put in is no good?
Most cars can change the filter with out changing the oil.
You will lose some oil but not a whole lot if you hurry.
Nearly all filters set-ups have the oil pumped through them by the oil pump, and you shouldn't lose any oil in the process. The oil is in the oil pan when the motor isn't running, so as long as your filter is above that point, the only oil spillage should be out of the filter. I am wondering what is wrong with the filter, but conceivably you could recover the oil from it as well.
go for it. the amount of oil lost would be what,s in the filter and maybe a splash more.
u shouldnt lose that much oil just by taking off the filter
