What is your preferred brand of motor oil and oil filter?

i have used fram filters and penn zoil for years now and it has never caused any problems from any car i have ever put it in,there's many good brands of oil though and filters,i just use what has proved to be the best over the years,good luck.What is your preferred brand of motor oil and oil filter?

Castrol Syntec... any ultra premium synthetic filter





why? i get my best fuel economy from Syntec in every car I own.


for filters, there are really only two companies in the west making filters and all the rest are just repainted versions of them. It really doesn't matter the brand as long as the material inside is synthetic as cellulose, which is the fancy name for paper, will break down quicker.
My preferred brand of motor oil is Mobile 1 Fully Synthetic. I bought my 97 Accord with 4 miles on it and have only put this type of oil in it. The reason I chose this oil was because Porsche was putting it in their cars in production back then. I also ran my car hard its first 2 years...i used to live in Germany and drove the Autobahn daily to work. I just go for a regular Fram filter....but stay on a 3000 mile interval.
i,am like adam ! i used pennzoil for several years and i never had any trouble with the engines. right now i use 10w30 high mileage pennzoil and fram filters. i like pennzoil because like i said it,s good oil regardless what other people says. and i like fram filters because they catch most of the dirt.
i use castrol synthetic and fram filters the filter isnt really going to matter to much but the synthetic oil lasts much longer than regular oil and doesnt degrade as bad making it reduce the amount of friction in the motor better than regular oil which means less wear and tear

Fram is the best there is!


And Quaker State is one of the only oils that doesn't have parafin (wax) in it like Penzoil or Valvoline.
