Actually yes. If the engine is designed with out a filter, like most dirt bikes, quads, and lawn mowers they will run just fine. However, as most of you have stated, if it came with an oil filter, and you do not have on on your engine, it will be a very short life span for the engine..Can the engin still cirrculate oil if there is no oil filter in it?
Theorhetically yes, but the impurities in your oil and in the places it passes through would gunk up your engine beyond belief.

It worked for the old air cooled VW's. But modern automotive engines (The Beetle engine was designed in the 1930's!) are designed to send all the oil through the filter. You would need to replace the filter with some sort of cap / bypass fitting so the oil doesn't just get pumped out the hole where the filter goes. And I don't know why you would want to do that.

i will circulate the minimum part of oil, because the other part of oil is ex pulsed, but still remains a very little part so your engine wont die immediately but you have to make the repair soon
No, because then the oil would drain out of the port where the filter should be.
im pretty positive you need an oil filter, clean or not, in order to circulate oil. its just like a valve kinda thing that you need in there to keep the oil flowing.
yes, but youll have to seal off where there filter goes. stick magnets on your pan to keep metal particals out of the way.
Let's say you put in a bypass to plug the leak at oil filter connection, Yes, the engine would still recirculate the oil without the filter. But I am curious as to your reason for the question.

Nope. Yes, but you will destory the engine by pumping most of the oil out in a hurry. The engine circulates oil through that filter. Besides, if the oil isn't filtered you will get dirt in your engine. Dirt will destory an engine very quickly.
