What brand of oil filter do most dealerships use?

Most new car dealerships use oil filters from companies where a great deal of their specific (branded) parts come from. Factory Toyota filters are made by Denso stamped on the box and filter. Ford dealership filters are usually Motorcraft which are made by Purolator. GM has always used filters made by AC Delco. I have no idea where factory stamped boxes of Chrysler filters come from.

All aftermarket NAPA and Carquest's best filters are made by Wix in NC.

Are you noticing a trend here? I see no flimsy Fram oil filters used in factory applications. Look at Fram and Wix filters that have been cut open in any NAPA store you'll see why they're so cheap and flimsy. What brand of oil filter do most dealerships use?
Hi Man, By definition all dearlerships are required to use factory sourced parts. Read into that what you will. The world leader in filtration is Fram. They not only make filters for automotve use, but also for industrial, commercial %26amp; scientific purposes. If you are doubtful of the quality of the work or the materials used by your dealership, why not do it yourself? Then you are assured it has been done properly, using the correct parts %26amp; saves you some money. Additionally if the blooming thing breaks down later, you only have yourself to blame. What brand of oil filter do most dealerships use?
