The clown behind the counter gave me an oil filter clearly marked ';Toyota.'; If I wanted a Toyota, I would have bought one! I paid good money for a Lexus-I want a Lexus filter! Did he actually think it would fit?I went to my local Lexus dealer to purchase an oil filter?

Toyota is the parent company of both Scion and Lexus. Thats why the Lexus sc300 and Toyota Supra shared the same engine. Both made in Toyota factories in Japan. The Avalon and the ES share the same engine as well.
Toyota makes Lexus...DUH. Look it up. Like Ford make Lincoln and Chevy make Cadillac. What you PAID for is a fancy Toyota. Guess you learn something every day.....and just get your filters and whatnot from an auto parts store like AutoZone or Advance
Sounds like you don't realize your Lexus IS a Toyota. (Just like Honda makes the Acura and Nissan makes the Infiniti)
Lexus is a high priced Toyota
