What is the average price of a quart of oil for a harley-davidson and oil filter also?

At my local H-D shop, H-D oil goes for about $8.00 per quart, Chrome filter about $9.00.





Wal Mart has the Chrome filter for about $10.00, actually cheaper to buy it at Harley! Before they quit carrying it, Wal mart had Mobil 1 synthetic motorcycle oil for $8.00 per quart.





There are other alternatives to H-D oil that are cheaper.What is the average price of a quart of oil for a harley-davidson and oil filter also?
Depends on if you intend on buying your oil and filter at the dealership or at an autoparts store or Walmart. At the dealership about 8-9/quart of ';regular'; conventional oil-just that it comes with the Harley name on the bottle. The filter should be right around $25.

My dealer charges $5.25 for a quart of Harley oil ( non-synthetic) and $12 for a chrome filter. Those above posters should shop else where.
I pay $8/qt (4) at Oreilley's for Lucas 20w50 full synthetic,... and right at $15 for a K%26amp;N chrome filter from Autozone.(gotta order it a couple days ahead of time)....Thats in Texas. I do it all myself: total cost? $50 and 45 minutes of my time...Thats $165 less than the dealer.... and he knows it.
I got the $9.00 price for the chrome oil filter for my Buell. It's the same as a Sportster. I used Amsoil that cost $10.00 per quart, but the $5.25 HD conventional has worked for me too. I use Valvoline MC in my GSX-R but synthetic in my Buell.
About $5 a quart, and I run a black filter.


Why pay for chrome to throw away?
